Old Maid Privacy Policy

This page explains the privacy policy for Old Maid (App Store name: Old Maid: Classic Card Game; Japanese title: ババ抜き), a card game for iPhone, iPad and Mac played one-on-one against the AI. The app collects no data. It never connects to the internet, has no account or sign-in, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

1. No Data Is Collected

Old Maid does not collect any information about you or about how you play. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.

The app never connects to the internet. The whole game, including the AI opponent, runs on your device. The Mac version runs in Apple's App Sandbox without permission to use the network.

On the App Store, the app's privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

2. What Is Stored on Your Device

The only thing the app saves is the card-back design you chose, kept in the app's settings on your device. It never leaves your device, and deleting the app deletes it.

3. Sharing After a Win (Optional)

When you win, you can share a short video replaying the winning draw, and a picture, through the standard iOS share sheet. The video and picture are made on your device and go nowhere unless you share them yourself.

The app does not send them anywhere. You choose where they go — for example Messages, Mail or a social network app — and from then on that service handles them under its own privacy policy.

To make posting easier, the caption (a short message with the App Store link and hashtags) is copied to your clipboard when the share sheet opens.

4. Tracking, Analytics and Advertising

  • No analytics or usage statistics.
  • No advertising and no advertising SDK.
  • No tracking, and no request for tracking permission through App Tracking Transparency.
  • No third-party SDKs.

5. Children

Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page.
