AI Word Scramble Privacy Policy

To improve the app, we collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Firebase Analytics: which screens are opened, whether a puzzle could be built, which round the game ended on, and the like. The text of the topic you type is never sent — only how many characters it had. The app version and whether you are on iOS, iPadOS or macOS are included too.

No user identifier is sent, and we collect neither the advertising identifier (IDFA) nor the device identifier (IDFV). Closing the rating screen, or leaving without answering, sends nothing under section 2 below.

After you finish all rounds we ask “How were the puzzles?” with a thumbs up or thumbs down. Only when you answer do we send the following to our server (api.musicflow.tokyo, over HTTPS), in order to improve the puzzles.

• The topic you typed (for example “fruit”)
• The words you were given (spelling, reading and letter count)
• Your thumbs up or thumbs down
• How many seconds the whole round took
• A random per-game identifier created on your device, so the same game is not received twice
• The app version, your device's language setting, the time it was sent, and a string naming the generation of the model that made the puzzles

What is sent is kept only as long as it is needed to improve the puzzles. Because the topic is free text, please do not type names or anything else personal into it.

• There is no account and no sign-in. Reports are sent anonymously, with no credentials attached.
• No user identifier is sent. We collect neither the advertising identifier (IDFA) nor the device identifier (IDFV).
• Because nothing in the report identifies you, we cannot connect what is sent to any particular person.
• As with any network request, the originating IP address appears in our server's access log for up to 30 days. It is never stored alongside the report.

Puzzles are built by Apple's on-device model (Foundation Models) running on your iPhone or iPad. While you play, the topic you type never leaves your device. It leaves only in the case described above, when you choose to rate.

• Your best time for finishing all rounds
• Any rating that could not be sent yet, held until it can be (up to 50; once that many are waiting, the oldest are discarded)

Both stay on your device only. Deleting the app deletes both.

• We use Google Firebase Analytics for usage statistics, as described in section 1. What we collect is anonymous and never includes the text of the topics you type.
• There is no advertising and no advertising SDK.
• The app does not track you, and does not request tracking permission through App Tracking Transparency.
• Ratings are never shared with third parties.

This app is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy. The updated version takes effect when posted on this page.
